On May 4 2011 a low pressure systym formed roughly 140 KM west of Palau island. On the same day the low (a short for low pressure cell) started to intensify rapidly. On the next day the low started to move North West towards the Phillippines. In the afternoon of May 6 it intensified to a tropical deppression. On May 7 the deppression intensified to tropical storm with the name "Aere". Despite the storm's weakness (it was gusting at 75 KPH and it has to be 90 or more for a warning to issued) , a tropical storm warning was issued for damaging winds , flash floods and a storm surge for the Phillipines. It killed at least 35 people (not by strong winds but by flash flooding and mudslides).
